… Is there anybody there?
No one ever posts on this site anymore! So I thought, even though I no longer attend scouts, that I would write something!
Even though you will most likely have a discussion on the recent Cooking Camp on a troop night soon, I would like to mention a few things.

Also, to start the ball rolling on an idea I mentioned to Dave, we thought it would be good to start getting you to write reviews on the camps you have been on so we have a record of what you thought of the particular camp. So, if you click the comment link at the bottom of the post and type in the space provided, you can quite easily answer the following questions for a weekend camp. For example, the questions could be -
- The Camp - In this case, Cooking Camp.
- The Location - Harry’s Island, The New Forest.
- Favourite Part of Saturday
- Worst Part of Saturday
- Favourite Part of Sunday
- Worst Part of Sunday
- Would you like to do a camp like that again?
- Why?
What you type doesn’t have to be pages and pages in length - just a few lines for each question will do. At the moment it is not essential that you do this but, you may all be asked to do it for homework after future camps.
Anyway, it will be really good to see more scouts using this site as it is a really useful resource if you use it to it’s full potential.

Good call Adam.
This site is going to go through some major refurbishment soon (probably over the summer break), and it will be a slow process to get it working the way it should, with the Scouts visiting the site regularly, but we’ll get there!
I thought that cooking was quite good. my favouite part of saturday was making breakfast as the lovely aroma of bacon filled the air. the worst part of tha day though was drinking the dressing that we made. my favourite part of sunday was having the tuna and noodles. the worst part of that day was leaving! i think that we should have that camp again because everyone enjoyed themselves and overall it was very fun.
sorry! i missed out camp on the first line.
Like I said… you weren’t meant to drink it! It would have been much nicer if you had tried it at lunch, but as you were all put off, you didn’t get chance!

Hi Everyone I thought that the cooking camp was great .
the best part of camp was cooking breakfast as the smell was lush the worst part was when we had the tuna and noodles ‘cos samm put all of the flavour satchets in one pot of all the noodles.
i would go on the camp again but at a different site would make a change because we always seem to go to the same places every time we do the same camp
