OK, I realise that this website is new, and there is not a massive amount of content on it, but why have only a few Scouts signed up to comment or post on it? It will pick up in time, but only if you guys get on here and start posting, and eventually discovering new ways we can use the site.

If you want to start contributing to this site, send me an email (it’s on the bottom of all the letters I give you), and I will create an account for you. Then get writing - anything goes (as long as it’s Scout related and clean - no naughty language, thank you!) - review a camp or hike for example. Best to do that just after we’ve ben on one though.

I in turn promise to do my best to update the site with dates and other important information as soon as I get a window in my schedule!

Oh, and if your review is over 200 words long, I’m pretty sure it will pass you for part of a badge…

Okay, basically, for all that dont know, the acorn is a incident night hike competition similar to Mitch’s hike on summer camp.

Teams from all scout troops in the district walk the circular route, stopping at bases along the way based around a certain theme. Usually, you will be given the grid reference of your next base from each checkpoint, so you may not have a pre-defined route to walk.

Thats the quick info and we need a team or two, so post your concerns or talk to Dave as I’m sure deep inside his scary/skinny body theres some niceness that will tell you all you need to know

Patrol Leaders and Senior Patrol Leaders only tonight please. We will be discussing:

APL vacancies
District Acorn teams
Patrol Leaders Night
Patrol Camps
Expeditions (Jake, Spud and Adam)
