Rob, for completing his Expedition Challenge Badge, and to his team, Adam, Mitch and Jake (and Kev and Me!) for smiling all the way through the rain on day one. At least it stopped raining long enough to put our tents up.

A report shall follow soon, as soon as I give Rob write access to this blog.

Also, well done to Mitch, for organising a route for a night hike, and earning his Hikers Badge.

I really enjoyed Robs expedition. On Saturday morning I was dreding it as it was my first expedition and the weather forecast was poor. Even though the weather forecast was correct, I had a great time and can’t wait to go on the practise one!

The really common syndrome when it comes to long hikes and expeds, is the short term memory syndrome - about half way through, till just after the hike, you swear that you will never EVER do another one of these pointless, stupid, idiotic things EVER again!

    EVER!!!

Then two weeks later you are asking “when’s the next one then?”

    :o)
